Welcome to the BGCC 24 Hour Challenge 2011.

The Burley Griffin Canoe Club invites canoeists and kayakers from Canberra and interstate to enter the 24 Hour Challenge on the Molonglo River in Canberra on the 19th and 20th of November 2011.

There will be competitive and non-competitive streams for singles and teams. With camp sites, food, drinks, prizes, amenities and much more it promises to be a fantastic event!  The course will be 4 to 5 kilometres and the overall aim is to complete as many laps as possible in the 24 hour period.

This year, you’ll be paddling for a great cause, you’ll be in a safe and controlled environment, and you’ll be part of the atmosphere which will define the BGCC Challenge 2011 as the best yet!

Our goal with this year’s challenge is to raise much needed money for the Cure Cancer Australia Foundation, who provide research grants to young and innovative researchers with fresh ideas.

The researchers Cure Cancer provide funding to work across all types of cancer and their goal is to cure this prolific and devastating disease. Find out more about Cure Cancer here: www.curecancer.org.au

So get involved, have some fun and give generously to support the work of Cure Cancer’s researchers so that the brightest minds in cancer research in Australia can find a cure.

Thank you for your support!
